6.	Assessment of Slapton as a potential Conservation Area PDF 91 KB Report of the Assistant Director – Planning and Economy Purpose of Report For Members to consider the assessment of Slapton which considers whether Slapton has special architectural or historic interest necessary to justify designation as a conservation area. The assessment was deferred from the 22 January 2020 meeting of the Committee to allow Members a chance to visit the village. It is now back for consideration. Recommendations The meeting is recommended: 1.1 That following the assessment, work to designate Slapton as a conservation area not be pursued as the village does not fulfil the criteria to justify designation. 7.	An assessment of the remaining villages within South Northamptonshire District as potential Conservation Areas PDF 92 KB Report of the Assistant Director – Planning and Economy Purpose of Report For Members to consider the assessment of the 14 remaining villages which considers whether they have special architectural or historic interest necessary to justify designation as conservation areas. Recommendations The meeting is recommended: 1.1 That following the assessment, work to designate the remaining 14 villages as individual conservation areas is not pursued as the villages do not fulfil the criteria to justify designation. Local List for South Northamptonshire Assessment Criteria PDF 92 KB Report of the Assistant Director – Planning and Economy Purpose of Report To seek Committee approval of criteria against which to identify Non-Designated Heritage Assets within South Northamptonshire. Recommendation The Committee is recommended: 1.1 To approve the criteria for the assessment of Non-Designated Heritage Assets in South Northamptonshire as a precursor to preparing a Local List. 9.	Milton Keynes Council - Strategy for 2050 PDF 100 KB Report of the Assistant Director – Planning and Economy Purpose of report For Members to consider Milton Keynes Council’s engagement draft of its Strategy for 2050. Recommendations The Committee is recommended: 1.1 To note the content of Milton Keynes Council’s Strategy for 2050 and agree that the Assistant Director for Planning and the Economy can provide a formal response to the to the Consultation on behalf of the Council noting the contents of the Strategy.
